The Afrolatino Festival NYC is a multi-day event celebrating the contributions of Afro-latinos. It's mission is to provide a positive public space to pay tribute to the African roots of people from Latin America and the Caribbean.  AfroCROWD has previously partnered with the festival to hold Wikipedia edit-a-thons to increase awareness and highlight the contributions of the Afro Latino community while also teaching newcommers  how to to edit Wikipedia.  We are thrilled that this year, which the festival has designated a Tribute to women of the diaspora, they have ecognized AfroCROWD and it's founder, our Alice Backer, for those efforts. Congratulations! For more information on the festival click here.
